In East Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh, the democratic process faces an unexpected hurdle as voting hours are extended well into the night due to sluggish proceedings at multiple polling stations. With allegations swirling regarding the slow processing of voter identification, concerns over the timely conclusion of the electoral exercise loom large.
Meanwhile , adding to the tumult, accusations have emerged implicating Deputy Commanding Officer L. Kipgen of misconduct during his monitoring duty at the Niausa Polling Station.
In a complaint lodged by NPP MLA Candidate Thangwang Wangham, grave accusations have been leveled against Shri Kipgen, alleging unruly behavior and misconduct while purportedly under the influence of alcohol. Wangham's letter paints a troubling picture, detailing instances of verbal abuse directed at voters, the use of unparliamentary language, and actions that only served to exacerbate tensions at the polling station.
Of particular concern are allegations suggesting a nexus between Shri Kipgen's conduct and individuals associated with political figures, raising serious doubts about the impartiality and integrity of the electoral process. Wangham's complaint hints at a possible connection between Shri Kipgen's behavior and a purported bribe, aimed at disrupting the electoral process and undermining Wangham's candidacy in Niausa.
