Assam: BPF Chief Hagrama Mohilary predicts end of alliance between BJP and UPPL after Lok Sabha Elections

In a rally held in Baksa district, Hagrama Mohilary, the president of the Bodoland People's Front (BPF) said that the relationship between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the United People's Party Liberal (UPPL) is on the brink of collapse, foreseeing its demise shortly after the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

Stating the widening chasm between the BJP and UPPL, Mohilary revealed insider insights, asserting that the BPF had successfully triumphed over the national party in Darrang Udalguri during the Lok Sabha polls. He pointed out a significant shift in voter allegiance towards the BPF, particularly highlighting the support garnered from the electorate within the inner circles of the UPPL.

"With no formidable opponent in Kokrajhar, where BJP refrained from fielding candidates, and the Congress presenting a lackluster candidate, the path is clear for BPF's triumph," said Mohilary.

Mohilary further lambasted the BJP's efforts in Kokrajhar dismissing their campaigning as inconsequential theatrics. He reiterated the BPF's broad-based appeal, asserting that constituents from diverse ethnic backgrounds are firmly aligned with the party's vision, ensuring widespread support in the upcoming electoral fray.

Mohilary foretold the imminent dissolution of the BJP-UPPL alliance, citing the BJP's purported disillusionment with the UPPL's electoral prospects. Allegations of misappropriation of government resources and a lack of substantive achievements were levied against the UPPL, further undermining their credibility in the political arena.

"Confirmed news indicates that BJP will sever ties with UPPL, withdrawing support due to their inability to secure electoral victories and their alleged malfeasance," Mohilary said.
