In a display of political strength and unity, the AGP-BJP alliance candidate of Barpeta Lok Sabha, Phani Bhusan Chowdhury, filed his nomination papers today in Barpeta amidst a massive public gathering. The event was graced by the presence of key political figures including AGP president Atul Bora, Minister Jayanta Malla Baruah, and Rajya Sabha MP Biren Baishya.
The day commenced with a fervent public meeting at the Barpeta municipal ground, setting the stage for Chowdhury's nomination filing. Attendees witnessed a procession led by prominent leaders, culminating in the submission of nomination papers at the district commissioner's office.
AGP president Atul Bora expressed confidence in Chowdhury's candidacy, stating, "Today's massive rally proves that Phanibhushan Chaudhary's victory in Barpeta Lok Sabha constituency is 100 per cent certain." Minister Jayanta Malla Baruah emphasized the significance of representing the Khilonjiya community, affirming, "In Barpeta this time we will be able to keep alive the existence of the Khilonjiya people."
Baruah's impassioned speech resonated with historical references, likening Chowdhury's influence to the expansive Koch empire. He projected a resounding victory for Chowdhury, envisioning a flourishing "empire of the Khilonjiya people" stretching from Amingaon to Salakati.
With the nomination formalities completed and unwavering support from top AGP-BJP leaders, Phani Bhusan Chowdhury emerges as a formidable contender in the upcoming elections, poised to champion the aspirations of Barpeta constituents.
