Preparations are underway for a repoll in the Inner Manipur Lok Sabha seat, announced Manipur Chief Electoral Officer Pradeep Jha. Scheduled for April 22, the repoll will take place across 11 polling stations within the Inner Manipur parliamentary constituency.
Addressing concerns raised during the initial phase of polling, Jha stated, "We are taking into consideration all the issues that were raised. The Election Commission of India has decided to order repoll at 11 polling stations." With a commitment to upholding transparency and fairness, the electoral authorities are leaving no stone unturned to facilitate a smooth and credible voting process.
Meanwhile, attention is also shifting towards the second phase of Lok Sabha polls in the Outer Manipur Lok Sabha seat. Chief Electoral Officer Pradeep Jha revealed that the elections for the remaining segments of the Outer Manipur parliamentary constituency are slated for April 26.
Speaking about the upcoming phase, Jha assured, "All the arrangements have been done." With 13 assembly segments gearing up for polls, efforts are being made to ensure adequate infrastructure and security measures are in place to enable a hassle-free electoral exercise.
