AR Rahman Arrives in Nagaland to Attend Closing Ceremony of 'Hornbill Festival'

Kohima, December 10, 2019:

Renowned music director, singer, arranger and music producer AR Rahman arrived in Nagaland to attend the closing ceremony of the Hornbill Festival, 2019, today.

Chief Minister of Nagaland, Nephiu Rio in a tweet announced the arrival of the musical maestro, AR Rahman.

In the tweet, he posted a picture with the caption, “Happy to announce that Dr. A.R Rahman @arrahman will be the Guest Of Honour at the Closing Ceremony of #Nagaland #HornbillFestival2019. We look forward to having him at the #FestivalOfFestivals.#ekbharatshreshthabharat@MusicTask @KMMC_Chennai”

The Hornbill Festival is the biggest event in Nagaland, which is held every year in the first week of December. The festival is a tribute to Hornbill, the most admired and revered bird for the Naga tribes, for its qualities of alertness and grandeur. The 2019 iteration of the event has seen massive footfall, and is being hailed as one of the most successful Hornbills in recent memory.
