Assam youth triumphs at storytellers contest

Guwahati youth Rajdweep carved a niche by winning the fourth best prize for his script ‘Ishqology’ at the first edition of Cinestaan India’s Storytellers Contest.

A scriptwriter and lyricist, Rajdweep pocketed a cash prize of Rs.4 lakh at a function held in Mumbai on Monday. Over 3,500 aspiring screenwriters from across the country had competed in the contest.

Rajdweep said he was overwhelmed to have received the prize from actor Aamir Khan.

“I have been an Aamir Khan fan all my life. I had never been to Mumbai before and to come here and receive the prize, there cannot be anything bigger than this,” he said.
