Director Bhaskar Hazarika’s film, Aamis (Ravening) has made it to the prestigious India Gold section of the 21st Mumbai Film Festival.
Earlier this year, the film had its World Premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival and it will have its Asia Premiere at the Gold section of the 21st Mumbai Film Festival that is scheduled to be held from October 17 to 24.

Aamis (Ravening) is about Nirmali, a married paediatrician, who lives a peaceful but monotonous domestic life in Guwahati, Assam. She later gets attracted to Sumon, a Ph.D. student researching on the food habits of Northeast India. While Nirmali is shown to be in her late 30s, Sumon is a younger lad.
The film centres around the shared love for food, especially, non-vegetarian. The two bond over food. Lima Das, Arghadeep Baruah, Neetali Das, and Sagar Saurabh play the main characters of Ravening.

Earlier, in 2015, Hazarika’s film, Kothanodi or The River of Fables was screened in the prestigious Film Festival.
