Bollywood actor Dilip Kumar’s brothers test positive for Covid-19, admitted to hospital

Bollywood veteran Dilip Kumar 's brothers Ehsaan Khan (90) and Aslam Khan (89) tested positive for Covid-19 on Saturday. They have been kept under artificial breathing support in Lilavati hospital, Mumbai.

Ehsaan and Aslam started complaining of breathing problems when they were rushed to the hospital. They were then tested positive for Covid-19 after rapid test and were immediately admitted at the Covid-19 ward of the hospital

Both the brothers are currently being treated by Dr. Jalil Parkar. The doctor informed, "They were brought to the hospital late Saturday night. They have tested positive for COVID-19. Their oxygen levels are low and both of them are on non-invasive ventilator support."

At the beginning of the year, Dilip Kumar also shared his health update where he mentioned that he was under self-imposed quarantine as a precautionary measure for the novel coronavirus.

In March, the 97-year-old actor tweeted: "I am under complete isolation and quarantine due to the Coronavirus outbreak. Saira (his wife and actress Saira Banu) has left nothing to chance, ensuring I do not catch any infection."

In another tweet he further added, I appeal to all of you to protect yourself and others by staying indoors as much as possible. The #CoronavirusOutbreak transcends all boundaries and borders. Follow guidelines issued by health departments, protect yourself and others by limiting your exposure to others.

Dilip Kumar is aged 97 and a superstar from Bollywood. He is also the last living male actor from Bollywood's Golden Age of movies. He is wheelchair-bound and has short-term memory loss, where some times he cannot even recognize his wife Saira Banu. She is currently taking care of him and his needs.

On 15 August, Maharashtra's coronavirus tally rose to 5,84,754 with 12,614 fresh cases.
