Bollywood Actor Kushal Punjabi Found Hanging in Mumbai Residence, Leaves Suicide Note

The entertainment world woke up to a piece of tragic news on Friday morning after the reports of Indian film and television actor, Kushal Punjabi’s suicide reports spread all over. The 37-year old actor was found hanging at his Mumbai Pali Hill residence.

Reportedly, the police recovered a suicide note which read: “there is no one responsible for my suicide”.

He is survived by wife Audrey Dolhen, with whom he tied the knot in 2015, and his three-year-old son Kian.

According to reports, when the Bandra police arrived at the scene, they rushed Kushal to the hospital, where he was declared dead before admission.

Punjabi had reportedly stopped taking calls on Thursday, and his parents were trying to contact him since 2 pm, but he never responded.

Subsequently, his parents decided to visit him. On reaching his apartment at around 10:30 pm, they found the door locked. They had a spare key, and when they entered the flat, they found their son hanging, said reports.

It has been also reported that Punjabi’s wife was not in India and the actor was alone in his flat when he took his life. As per reports, Punjabi was suffering from depression and was under the separation process with his wife.

Kushal’s friend, Karanvir Singh Bohra, broke the news about his death on social media. Many members of the film and television fraternity like Farhan Akhtar, Shweta Tiwari, Karan Patel, Baba Sengal, among others, expressed their grief on social media over his sudden demise.

Punjabi starred in films such as Farhan Akhtar's 'Lakshya', and Karan Johar's 'Kaal'. He also starred in shows like 'Ishq Mein Marjawan', 'Hum Tum', and 'Kasam Se'. He was also part of the reality shows: 'Total Wipeout' (Indian version), 'Jhalak Dikhla Jaa', and 'Fear Factor'.
