Hema Malini, Esha Deol make Assam proud in Lakme Fashion Week

Popular Bollywood star and Lok Sabha Member Hema Malini and her daughter Esha Deol made Assam proud when they both draped in Assam silk and walked the ramp at one of India's most popular fashion shows, the Lakme Fashion Week in Mumbai on Sunday.

Held from 22nd to 26th August, the mother-daughter duo put on dresses designed by Assam’s celebrated fashion designer Sanjukta Dutta on the concluding day of the mega fashion event.

Sanjukta showcased her collection Abor, dedicated to the women weavers of Assam.

Quite popular in Bollywood, several starks like Bipasha Basu, Dia Mirza, Preity Zinta, Priyanka Chopra, etc, had already worn her beautifully-designed motifs.
