GUWAHATI: Singing icon Rihanna has been abused by Kangana Ranaut on Twitter for extending her support to the farmers protesting against the Centre's 3 new controversial laws.

Rihanna yesterday shared a CNN article about the farmers' protest along with the caption, "why aren’t we talking about this?!

#FarmersProtest"

Responding to the tweet, Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut wrote, "No one is talking about it because they are not farmers they are terrorists who are trying to divide India, so that China can take over our vulnerable broken nation and make it a Chinese colony much like USA... Sit down you fool, we are not selling our nation like you dummies."

In another tweet, Ranaut wrote, "Yes please India wants to know, to simplify to Indians, she is a singer much like Sunidhi Chauhan or Neha Kakkar ...what is so special about her, well... she can shake her bum cheeks and expose her ass crack right in to the camera lens while singing..ya that’s all. Nothing else."

Pragyan Ojha, Indian cricketer, also lashed out at Rihanna for her support for the protesters. "My country is proud of our farmers and knows how important they are, I trust it will be addressed soon. We don’t need an outsider poking her nose in our internal matters!"

Greta Thunberg, Swedish climate activist, wrote, "We stand in solidarity with the #FarmersProtest in India."

The 2020–2021 Indian farmers' protest is an ongoing protest against three farm acts which were passed by the Parliament of India in September 2020. Farmer unions and their representatives have demanded that the laws be repealed and will not accept anything short of it.
