International music superstar Lucky Ali is all set to take to the stage later tonight during the two-day Guwahati International Music Festival, the 4th edition of the music event, one of the biggest in the Northeastern region of India.
Ali, renowned for a string of chartbusters during the turn of the millenium, has recently carved a niche for himself through his live performances, where he uses an array of instruments to perform his music in front of fans.
Although he has not recorded new material in recent times, his live shows continue to be a mainstay in the international circuit.
This time, Lucky Ali will enthrall audiences in Guwahati. So what do fans think?
"Lucky Ali's songs are evergreen. Everybody loves him here in Assam. People wish to see him live after having heard his song for several decades", says Moidul Islam, a Lucky Ali fan from Barpeta, Assam.
"His songs are distinct and unique. They are flavourful. He can be an inspiration for the youth as he has been at the forefront of the indipop revolution in India", adds Taufiz Rahman, who confesses he grew up on a staple of Lucky Ali's music.
The fourth edition of Guwahati International Music Festival started on February 29. The event featured various artists from different countries. The international music festival will culminate on March 1.
