Musician Shekhar Ravjiani Orders 3 Boiled Eggs in 5-Star Hotel, Gets Charged Rs 1672

Mumbai, November 15, 2019:

Well-known Bollywood music composer Shekhar Ravjiani, one half of the famous Vishal-Shekhar musical duo, has raised quite a few eyebrows after sharing on social media that he had spent Rs 1672 on three egg whites! The cost was incurred while Shekhar was dining at the Hyatt Regency hotel in Ahmedabad.

Sharing the bill on social media, Shekhar wrote, "Rs. 1672 for 3 egg whites??? That was an Eggxorbitant meal".

Shekhar's tweet with the clever twist on words, caught the attention of twitterati. One user took a dig at Shekhar himself for the musician's misfortune. "Joke is, someone going to a 5 star rated hotel for boiled eggs", the user wrote. Others, however, were more sympathetic. "Dinosaur eggs?", one user asked, wondering that the eggs might have belonged to the extinct reptiles, to have cost so much.

It may be mentioned here that earlier, actor Rahul Bose shared about his unexpected experience of paying Rs. 442 for two bananas at a plush five-star hotel in Chandigarh in July this year.

Soon after, a fine of Rs. 25,000 was imposed on the hotel by the Excise and Taxation Department for over-charging from the actor.
