Kohima, November 10, 2019:

The 11th Nagaland Music awards, a celebration of the rich music culture, has awarded as many as nineteen musicians of the State.

The Nagaland Music awards was held at Regional Centre of Excellence for Music & Performing Arts (RCEMPA), Jotsoma in Kohima, under the aegis of Native Trax Society on Saturday.

A total of 69 entries were nominated in various genres, out of which 19 emerged to be the winners. The show had a slew of performances, Dzuvingunuo Keli-o, Asung Imchen Seyievinuo Chuzo and Neilakuonuo Metha, being a few.

Urban Development & Municipal Affairs, Advisor Dr. Neikiesalie Nicky Kire also attended the event who presented a special number song.

The awards were given away by Ajeen Longchari, Wenyitso Kapfo, James Swu, Oren Mozhui, Jhonny D’ Ascoli, Khyochano TCK Ngully, Aleno, Seyievinuo Chuzho, Dr. Hovithal Sothu, Mengu Suokhrie, Abel Assumi, Obed Kath, Vesato Thuluo, and Khrienuo Liezietsu.

The winners of the 11th Nagaland Music Awards are -

The Award for the Best Music Video Psycho K4 for “Legacy”.

The Award for the Best Gospel Song was given to Powerfaith for the song “Paraclete”.

The Award for the Best Gospel ( Hindi/Local Dialects) was given to Temumongba and Ozukumn for “Tesangwadak Ranglokdi”.

The Award for the Best Pop Song was given to Virie for the song “Lost”.

The Award for the Best Pop (Hindi/Local Dialects) was given to NK Naga for the pop song “Bapu”.

The Award for the Best Instrumental was given to Atso Chaise for “The Grand Bison”.

The Award for the Best EDM Song was given to Ina for the EDM song “Hills of Silence”.

The Award for the Best Rock Song was given Trance Effect for the rock song “New Beginning”.

The Award for the Best Rap/Hiphop Song was given to Moko Koza for the song “Happy Today”.

The Award for the Best Folk Fusion Song was given to Tetseo Sisters for “The Tati” song

The Award for the Best Producer was awarded to Mhaseve Tetseo for the “The Tati” song

The Award for the Best Sound Engineer was given to Vitz Zhimo for the “Lost( Virie)”

The Award for the Best Video Director was given to TBos for the music video “Legacy” of Psycho k4

The Award for the Best Lyricist/Songwriter was given to Imnamaong for the song “New Beginning” (Trance Effect).

The Award for the Best Upcoming Artiste was given to Temsu Clover for “Confessions of a bipolar mind”.

The Award for the Best cover song was given to Lapla Oungh for the song “Father” by Demi Lovato.

The Award for the Best Upcoming Band was given to Erase Monday for the song Waves

The Award for the Trailblazer Award was awarded to Alem Alia Jr.

The Award for the Song of the year” was “Wait for me” by Macnivil.
