Kathmandu, May 5, 2019:

At a time when most of us can barely take a few steps without huffing and puffing due to unhealthy eating habits, teenage dancing sensation Bandana Nepal has set a new Guinness World Record for 'Longest Dancing Marathon by an Individual' by dancing for 126 hours straight!

The eighteen-year-old danseuse was honored by Nepal's Prime Minister K P Sharma Oli on Saturday for her remarkable achievement.

The teen star stated that Guinness has confirmed the record on Friday. The record attempt was made when the teenager danced to Nepali music for 126 hours in the hall of Big Foodland restaurant in Kathmandu on November 23 in 2018.

She claimed the glory by breaking a record set by a Kerala based woman named Kalamandalam Hemalatha in 2011.

Hemalatha had earned the distinction by Mohiniyattam, a classical dance form continuously for 123 hours and 15 minutes.

Kudos to this kid for her incredible stamina in this "fast food age".
