The biopic on the Indian Prime Minister has finally hit the theatres today, after several controversies and multiple shifts in its release dates, starring Vivek Oberoi as ‘PM Narendra Modi’.
The release of the film was held back by the Election Commission as it violated the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) of elections and under the demand of the various political parties as the movie could have influenced the voters.
The film shows the PM Narendra Modi’s life and his depiction as an ordinary man and the way of becoming India’s 14th Prime Minister in 2014.
The film cast includes Vivek Oberoi, Manoj Joshi, Boman Irani, and Zarina Wahab. The movie was primarily shot in Uttarkashi, Gujrat, and Mumbai.
The movie is directed by Omung Kumar, who is also best known for directing the Priyanka Chopra starrer Mary Kom.
The biopic releases theatrically in 23 languages. The film is jointly produced by Suresh Oberoi, Sandeep Singh, and Anand Pandit.
