Ranu Mondal, the renowned singer from West Bengal, who gained international superstardom after a video of her singing Lata Mangeshkar's song at the Ranaghat Railway Station, has now entered the public consciousness again. However, this time, it is for all the wrong reasons.

Ranu Mondal, who initially started off as a playback singer, providing the vocals for Himesh Reshammiya's smash hit 'Teri Meri', recently entered the world of fashion and walked the ramp in a dazzling golden outfit. Moreover, make-up pictures of the star went viral on social media platforms. The make-up pictures of Ranu received mixed-reviews, with haters quick to pounce on the star to make fun of her.

However, internet trolls soon used the viral pictures to create memes making fun of the songress from Bengal. While one user said that the singing sensation is ready to play 'The Nun' in the Conjuring franchise, another said that "Her makeup is BRIGHTER than my FUTURE!".
It may be mentioned here that Ranu Mondal had landed in the soup after a video of the crooner refusing to click a selfie with an adoring fan went viral.
Offended at being nudged on her arm, Ranu repeated asked the woman, “What is this?” in an accusatory tone. These acts earned the wrath of fans, and many alleged that stardom had gotten to the head of the humble singer from the Ranaghat Railway station. Ranu was also brutally trolled on social media for allegedly putting on airs, and memes poking fun of the social media superstar started doing the rounds.
Another troll, poking fun at the singing sensation, said that "oscar award 2020 for best make up artist goes to Ranu Mondal".
