Gangtok, February 28, 2020:

Chief Minister of Sikkim P S Golay flagged off the first ever 'Global Cinema Festival' that was inaugurated earlier today in the State;s capital city, Gangtok. Golay, along with wife Krishna Rai arrived at the Manan Kendra in Gangtok to inaugurate the Film Festival that is anticipated as a turning point, as far as the availability of quality cinematic affairs in the Himalayan State is concerned.

Golay was accompanied by the President of Film Federation of India, and Ministers Arun Upreti, Sanjit Kharel, Lok Nath Nepal, Bhim Hang Subba, B S Panth, and Jacob Khaling(who is the Political Secretary to the CM) during the launching ceremony of the 'Global Cinema Festival'.

MLAs Sunita Gajmer,Shri Aditya Golay,Chief Secretary S C Gupta, Bollywood Actress Manisha Koirala and film directors and film makers of India as well as of Sikkim graced the inaugural ceremony.
