SSR Case: Too soon to rule out murder theory, says SC lawyerSushant Singh Rajput murder

The AIIMS medical board on the 3rd of October informed that actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death was a suicide and not a murder. Concluding the speculations, Dr Sudhir Gupta, who led the AIIMS panel in the revalution process of the late actor’s post-mortem report said that there were no such injuries on the body other the of hanging.

In a recent interview, Supreme Court Lawyer Aashutosh Srivastava said that it is too early to rule out the murder theory in the case since the report has not been yet made public. The lawyer further added that the complete clean chit has not been given to Mumbai’s Cooper hospital who had concluded the post-mortem report earlier.

"Sushant's death is a case of suicide. Murder completely ruled out," Dr Sudhir Gupta said while ending the speculations.

The panel of AIIMS doctors was re-evaluating Sushant Singh Rajput's post-mortem and viscera reports based on the 20 per cent viscera sample available with them. The forensic agencies have examined a laptop, two hard disks, a canon camera and two mobile phones.

The AIIMS doctors had submitted their findings to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on September 29. The findings of the AIIMS medical board concurs with the findings of Cooper Hospital, where Sushant Singh Rajput's autopsy was conducted.

As per sources, the Central Bureau of Investigation will be continuing its probe from the angle of a suicide. The abetment to suicide angle will also be investigated. All aspects are still open in the CBI probe and if any evidence comes to light proving otherwise, Section 302 of the IPC, which is a murder charge, will be added. However, the CBI has been investigating the case since 57 days and nothing has come up so far. With the forensic reports in, it is now upto the investigation agency to take the case to its logical conclusion.
