Vidya Balan-starrer Shakuntala Devi Teaser is Out

Vidya Balan-starrer Shakuntala Devi’s first look is out and the actress looks all set for the biopic.

Titled as Shakuntala Devi - Human Computer, the movie is based on Indian mathematician Shakuntala Devi who was widely known for her arithmetic talents.

Vidya is seen flaunting her short hair in the first look of the biopic, resembling the mathematician.

Dressed in a bright red Saree, Vidya is seen standing on a prize podium at the No.1 position while a computer and calculator are placed at No. 2 and 3 respectively.

The teaser is a short clip that introduces Shakuntala Devi.

Shakuntala Devi is known as human computer. Her talent took her to the 1982 edition of The Guinness Book of World Records. She had written a number of books in her later years, including novels as well as texts on mathematics, puzzles, and astrology.

Her book The World of Homosexuals is considered the first study of homosexuality in India. Born in Bengaluru, Shakuntala Devi had unique abilities to memorise and compute complex arithmetic calculations mentally, without paper or writing tools.
