Zubeen's latest release Kanchanjangha has broken all records after collecting Rs. 3.9 crore in 10 days.
The movie has received massive response from the audience and it was able to collect Rs. 22.5 lakh on its very first day. Within three days, Kanchanjangha was able to sweep over a crore.
The latest figure suggests that the Zubeen-directed movie is still ruling the box office. Kanchanjangha has turned out to be the highest grossing Assamese movie of all time.
Kanchanjangha is Zubeen Garg’s second directorial venture. His first movie Mission China had also emerged as the highest grossing Assamese movie after its release in 2017.
Zubeen Garg’s wife, Garima took to Facebook to share the joy of sweeping the box office. She posted, “3.9 Crore in 10 days..surpassed Mission China’s record breaking lifetime collection.”
She also stated, “Always thankful to Assam and we can proudly cheer for our Assamese cinema.”
Kanchanjangha has been able to attract the audience with its youth-oriented story and issues. It has been able to relate with youngsters and their issues.
Produced by Zubeen Garg and his wife, the movie centers round Anirban who goes through ups and downs in pursuit of his dreams.
