Actor Jackky Bhagnani to make one Assamese film by this year

Jackky Bhagnani, a well-known Indian film actor, recently visited Assam, a place that holds a special place in his heart due to his childhood memories. Accompanied by Rakul Preet Singh, Bhagnani expressed his commitment to elevating the Assamese film industry to new heights.

"It's a very, very emotional moment for me to be here. Because all my growing up years, I've heard about Jorhat and Assam. Because that's where my mom has studied. And after almost 40 years. I have brought her back to Kamakadevi temple this time. And that's got her back to the roots after so many years. And you always go back to your roots as being a Sindhi", said Jackky Bhagnani.

"For me, my state is Assam and Bengal. Because my dad's from Calcutta, my mom's from here. So I've always felt that I need to do something fr Assam. And maybe I was waiting for the right moment because I had to at least be in some position or God had to put me in some position for be able to contribute to the lovely land, this land of culture and arts. Today I aspire to make one Assamese film this year with one of the local producers. I will need some handholding, but we should make one and take that position at a pan india level Assamese film", he added.
