Anupam Kher's Lansdowne retreat: A nostalgic journey to childhood

Indian actor Anupam Kher recently traded the glitz of the silver screen for the simplicity of Lansdowne, Uttarakhand, where he spent quality time with the town's children. Sharing snippets of his visit on social media, Kher's videos captured the heartwarming moments he shared with the youngsters.

In one video, Kher was seen driving the children to school, engaging in light-hearted conversations along the way. In another, he interacted with the kids, who affectionately recognised him as the kind man who often treated them.

Expressing his gratitude for the experience, Kher noted how it reminded him of his own childhood in Shimla. He shared his joy in spending time with the children, from sharing meals to giving them rides to school.

“LIFE LESSON: The Best reward I could ever get was from a five year old Abhishek in the second video at the end!” Kher wrote on Twitter. “In these two videos, I got to see glimpses of my childhood spent in Shimla. I used to meet these children in Lansdowne. I used to see them going to school. Sometimes I would even drop them to school in my car! Sometimes I would even sit with them and have tea and breakfast. I used to feel good and relaxed after talking to them. May God always keep these children happy. Now this innocence is rarely seen in children of big cities,” he added.

In bidding adieu to Lansdowne, Kher extended his heartfelt wishes for the happiness of the children, lamenting the loss of innocence in today's world.
