Assam singer Diksu reveals details about actress Sumi Bora amid police manhunt

In a significant development related to the ongoing money trading scam investigation, popular Assamese singer Diksu has provided crucial information to the media about actress Sumi Bora, who is currently the subject of a manhunt by Guwahati Police. This revelation follows the arrest of 22-year-old Vishal Phukan, who is accused of misappropriating crores of rupees through fraudulent stock market investments.

Diksu disclosed that on September 2, while he was away for a show in Nalbari, Sumi Bora, accompanied by Tarkik, visited his home. Upon his return around 9 PM, he noticed both individuals in a state of panic. “They were asking me for advice, and my wife urged them to reveal the truth,” Diksu said. Concerned about the implications of their presence at his home, Diksu advised them to surrender to the authorities. “I clearly told him to attend the call from Basistha Police because they needed answers from him. I asked them to leave my house and talk to the police,” he added. Diksu emphasized that he was unaware of Bora's involvement in trading activities, believing she earned money through fashion-related work.

Bora's whereabouts remain unknown after a police raid at a flat in Beltala, Guwahati, where she was last suspected to be. Her phone has been switched off, leading police to believe she fled following Phukan's arrest.

Phukan, who allegedly promised investors a 30% profit within 60 days, has been linked to extravagant spending, including financing Bora's high-profile destination wedding in Rajasthan and booking luxury hotels in Dubai. Police suspect that Phukan spent over Rs 1 crore on the wedding, highlighting the scale of his fraudulent operations.
