'I didn't even know': International composer alleges plagiarism by T-Series, seeks credit for 'Raanjhan' song

T-Series and Sachet–Parampara accused of plagiarism in Do Patti's 'Raanjhan' song by international producer KMKZThe song 'Raanjhan' from the film Do Patti, which had topped music charts for a long time, is now in the spotlight for alleged plagiarism. The track features Kriti Sanon and Shaheer Sheikh and is composed by Sachet–Parampara, released by T-Series.

An international music producer known as KMKZ has accused the song of using one of his beats without permission or credit. He shared a video on Instagram claiming that T-Series and the composers took his work from YouTube and turned it into a popular track without involving him.

In the video, KMKZ said he posted the beat about two years ago and was recently informed by someone that the piano in 'Raanjhan' resembled his beat, but he was not credited. He added that he tried contacting T-Series and the artistes but received no response.

KMKZ further stated that the beat was taken from YouTube without any payment or credit, and the song now has 290 million streams on Spotify and is number one on the Indian Billboard chart. He appealed to his followers to spread the word so his grievance could reach the right people.

This is not the first plagiarism allegation involving T-Series and Sachet–Parampara. In November last year, musician Nilanjana Ghosh Dastidar accused them of copying a track by her husband, Rajarshi Mitter, for the song 'Maiyya' from Netflix's Do Patti.

Neither T-Series nor Sachet–Parampara have responded to the current allegations. Meanwhile, KMKZ’s claims have generated discussion online.
