Sam Bahadur teaser: Vicky Kaushal exceed every expectations as field marshal Sam Manekshaw

The highly anticipated film Sam Bahadur, which is based on the life of field marshal Sam Manekshaw, released a teaser on Friday. Meghna Gulzar, the film's director, posted the first teaser of the upcoming movie, which stars Vicky Kaushal in the lead role, on Instagram. 'Zindagi unki,'' she captioned in Hindi. Itihas hamaara means "Our History. His Life."

The film, which was directed by Meghna, also features Fatima Sana Shaikh as former Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi and Sanya Malhotra as Silloo Manekshaw.

In the teaser, Vicky as Sam Manekshaw is seen inspiring and motivating soldiers by delivering powerful and intense dialogues. In one such dialogues, the actor is saying, ''Ek soldier ke liye uski jaan se zada keemti hoti hai uski izzat…uski wardi…aur ek soldier apni wardi ki izzat ke liye apni jaan bhi de sakta hai (For a solider, the most valuable thing than his life is his respect, his uniform and to prevent them from getting tarnished, he can even sacrifice his life).''

In 1971, Sam Manekshaw led the Indian Army's Army Staff during the Indo-Pak War. Additionally, he became the first officer in the Indian Army to be elevated to the position of field marshal.

In addition to Neeraj Kabi, Edward Sonnenblick, Zeeshan Ayyub, and Rajiv Kachroo, the film is produced by Ronnie Screwvala. The movie was first announced in 2021, the year of the late field marshal's 107th birthday. Additionally, this is Vicky and Gulzar's second collaboration together following Raazi. On December 1, Sam Bahadur will be released on big screens.
