Samantha Ruth Prabhu brings unmatchable energy for pickleball in Chennai

Samantha Ruth Prabhu, widely known for her role in Kushi, has stepped into sports entrepreneurship by acquiring the Chennai franchise in the World Pickleball League (WPBL).

The actress recently shared her love for the sport with her fans by posting a video on Instagram, showing her competing in an intense pickleball match. Clad in pink athleisure, Samantha was seen fully engaged in the game, responding to a fan’s query about her favorite sport.

Her decision to own a pickleball team is not just a business move but also holds personal significance. In a heartfelt Instagram post, Samantha reflected on her childhood, where she faced discouragement from participating in sports.

"To the little girl who was told she was 'too tiny'... I've come to appreciate the vital role of sports in our lives," she wrote, aiming to inspire young girls who face similar challenges.

Aside from her sports ventures, Samantha is set to star in the upcoming series Citadel: Honey Bunny, alongside Varun Dhawan. The spy thriller, set in the 90s, is a spin-off of the original Citadel series featuring Priyanka Chopra and Richard Madden. Samantha's character, Honey, is expected to play a crucial role in the narrative.

In addition to her web series, Samantha will also make her return to the big screen with the action crime thriller Bangaram, which marks her debut as a producer under her production house, Tralala Moving Pictures.
