Taylor Swift lookalike Ashley Leechin escorted out of LA store misleading fans all around

'It's just Ashley' getting escorted out of a mall. Videos and images of one Ashley Leechin lit up Taylor Swift fan pages on social media on August 20. Ashley has gained some popularity on TikTok and Instagram for resembling Taylor Swift. However, her most recent stunt garnered criticism from Taylor's followers as she went to a store in Los Angeles while posing as the singer, complete with a few 'bodyguards' wearing black. 

Ashley entered the store with her crew and attempted to prank some customers while wearing a white blouse, blue trousers, a red bag, a red cap, and Taylor's signature red lipstick. As soon as shop security led her outside, her ambitions were dashed. People gathered close by, attempting to take pictures of Ashley while still thinking she was Taylor. Ashley went to Disney World earlier on Saturday while posing as Taylor.

Ashley took to Instagram Stories to say that the act was not ‘malicious’ and celebrities use decoy's all the time. “Please don't expect me to turn off my comments, stop making content or disappear for that matter. It is called freedom of speech for a reason and you have as much air as you want to say what you need to say. The videos surfacing are taken way out of context & I just want to say to those who have messaged me and have said very kind things, I see you and I thank you. I just hope those who are angry over speculation do not dwell on this and can eventually enjoy their day,” she wrote.
