KABUL: Gunmen shot dead two Afghan women judges working for the supreme court in the country's capital early Sunday, officials said, as a wave of assassinations continues to rattle Afghanistan.
Police said the two Afghan women judges were shockingly gunned down right in the centre of Kabul while on their way to work. Two gunmen on a motorcycle fired at the judges near a bus stop. Two others were also wounded in the attack, reports said.

Jamshid Rasuli, spokesman for the attorney general's office, confirmed that both the assassinated women were judges working for the supreme court.
