While other kids her age are busy watching cartoons and eating boogers, a six-year-old child from Seoul, South Korea, called Boram, is making headlines across the world after she bought an entire tower for a staggering Rs 55 cr.
According to the Daily Mail, the little girl named Boram spent 9.5 billion South Korean won (55 crore INR, approx) on the building which is located in South Korea's affluent Gangnam suburb. So how did she make that amount of money at a young age? Simple, YouTube.
With around 30 million subscribers, Boram is known online through her vlog (Boram Tube Vlog) and her toy review account (Boram Tube ToysReview). Through these channels, she shares her daily life in South Korea and gives her verdict on the latest toys in the market. The two accounts are one of YouTube's most popular channels with her videos getting over 300 million views.
It is not clear why Boram purchased the building in what is known as the Beverly Hills of South Korea.
Children are becoming more ubiquitous on YouTube and toy manufacturers are cashing in on this. Many brands are collaborating with many of the site's child stars in hopes to reach more children who are now watching content online rather than through traditional media, according to a Filipino Times report.
