A 9-year-old United Arab Emirates (UAE)-based Indian child built a small robot which segregates waste, which will be showcased at the Expo 2020 Visitor Centre in Dubai.
Reportedly, 9-year-old Putsala Harshith, who originally hails from Srikakulam, Andhra Pradesh, is a class four student at the Bright Riders School in Abu Dhabi.

Putsala Harshith’s project, called “Robotic waste segregation to organic composting”, was chosen to be part of the Expo 2020 Young Innovators programme.
Putsala named his robot as Wsegrebot which segregates waste into green, wet, metal, paper, wood and plastic.
According to him, once the wet and brown waste, like paper and wood, is shredded, the waste is converted into organic compost, which turns into the soil when mixed with sand.
Through this effort, the nine-year-old wants to turn the desert into a garden and promote chemical-free agriculture.

The little kid has also prepared a small robot using old cars, cardboard, and motor to help his mother and a bigger one to help with cleaning.
He has been campaigning against plastic use in the past few years and makes paper bags to replace the plastic ones.
