As the protest against the contentious Citizenship (Amendment) Act spreads like wildfire, Pakistani minorities have categorically condemned the Centre’s move by saying it discriminates against Muslims.
According to the reports by Gulf News, the Pakistani minorities have also rejected India’s offer to grant them citizenship under C(A)A. They said they are not interested in taking refuge in India, and rejected Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘humanitarian’ gesture.

The international media further quoted that the Hindus of Pakistan have also rejected PM Modi’s offer of citizenship.
“Pakistan’s Hindu community unanimously rejects this bill, which is tantamount to dividing India into communal lines,” said Raja Asar Manglani, patron of the Pakistan Hindu Council.
"This is a unanimous message from Pakistan’s entire Hindu community to Indian Prime Minister [Narendra] Modi. A true Hindu will never support this legislation, reported the international media", he added.
It is to be mentioned here that the newly passed Citizenship Amendment Act has led to a mass uprising around the globe as the contentious act provides citizenship to the Hindu, Buddhist, Christian, Parsi, and Jain communities from Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan. It provides citizenship on religious grounds, which is against the Constitution of India and Clause 6 of the six-year-long Assam agitation.

According to the Pakistan Hindu Council, over 8 million Hindus are currently living in Pakistan.
According to the Council, approximately 94 per cent of Hindus are living in Sindh Province, and more than 4 per cent are living in Punjab Province of Pakistan, whereas a small portion of this population is settled in Balochistan and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Provinces.
