LADAKH: India and China are likely to hold the 9th round of Corps Commander-level military talks on Sunday to address the ongoing standoff in the Eastern Ladakh region.
According to reports, the 9th round of talks will be held in the Moldo region opposite Chushul sector in India.
The two countries have been engaged in a standoff along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) for more than eight months after multiple rounds of diplomatic and military-level talks have failed to yield any breakthrough.

The last meeting ended in a deadlock, and both nations agreed to maintain communication through open military and diplomatic channels, and push for settlement of outstanding issues to jointly ensure peace and tranquillity in border areas.
Earlier this month, Indian Army Chief General Manoj Mukund Naravane said that the armed forces are ready for a long haul along the LAC, though he hoped for an "amicable resolution" with the Chinese People’s Liberation Army.
