At least 30 junta soldiers died due to the clashes between Myanmar military and rebel groups in Sangaing region, reports said.
Reportedly, the Junta soldiers launched a 'clearing operation' which triggered the fight.
As per reports, the incident took place on Monday morning wherein at least 30 government troops including a tactical commander lost their lives. Reportedly, a military convoy triggered landmines outside Pale township.
The situation in Myanmar has been taking a grim turn since the coup that took place on February 1 when the Myanmar military led by Senior General Ming Aung Hlaing overthrew the civilian government and declared a year-long state of emergency.
The incident gave rise to mass protests and eventually violence.
As per reports, the militray forces have killed about 1,167 civilians in more than eight months. Over 7000 people in the country has been arrested based on the data from Assistance Association for Political Prisoners (AAPP).
