The Notre-Dame cathedral in Paris will not hold Christmas services for the first time in over 200 years as it is still being restored after a devastating fire in April.
According to reports, the 850-year-old cathedral has been celebrating Christmas masses every year since at least 1803. But this year, it has been closed for the public. It may be mentioned here that the roof of the ancient building had collapsed following the fire.
