Trump Awards Medal to 'Hero' Dog Conan who Took Part in Baghdadi Raid

Washington DC, November 26, 2019:

United States President Donald J Trump on Monday lavished praise on Conan, who was a part of the raid on ISIS Chief Baghdadi, which led to the extremist's death.

Saying that right now, Conan is "probably the world's most famous dog", Trump introduced the military dog to the White House press corps with a stream of superlatives. At a certain point, Trump even pointed out that he loves the dog.

Trump, who was joined for the event by First Lady Melania Trump and Vice President Mike Pence who lavished fulsome praise of his own on the four-legged "hero", called the dog "brilliant" and "incredible", which are two of the US President's favourite words to describe people (in this case, canine) that he likes.

Earlier, Trump had shared a picture of Conan, who was injured during the military operation to hunt down Islamic State (ISIS) chief Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi in Syria, leading to much amusement among his followers.

Hailing the canine’s effort on his social media handle, Donald trump tweeted, “We have declassified a picture of the wonderful dog (name not declassified) that did such a GREAT JOB in capturing and killing the Leader of ISIS, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi!” As per reports, the dog which was wounded during the operation, is doing fine.
