Washington Post Refers to ISIS Chief Baghdadi as 'Religious Scholar', Trolled

American newspaper 'The Washington Post' was recently trolled for referring to ISIS Chief Baghdadi as a 'religious scholar'. The ISIS leader has reportedly been killed by the US army, as announced by US President Donald Trump.

Initially, the Post's obituary read: "Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, Islamic State "terrorist-in-chief", dies at 48". However, the Post later modified its headline to "Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, austere religious scholar at the helm of Islamic State, dies at 48".

Soon, netizens started trolling the 'WaPo' and#WaPoDeathNotices also started to trend in various, and hilarious memes started flooding the internet.

Twitter user Ramesh Srivats, trolling the newspaper, tweeted, "Noted garden-clearing activist, General Dyer, lives up to his name by dying at age 62."

In another hilarious tweet he wrote, "Retired Army General Mogambo, an electronics buff, who spent his life seeking happiness, dies in mysterious blast."

Comic Joe Devito, taking to Twitter, wrote, "Osama bin Laden, father of 23, killed in home invasion."

It may be mentioned here that referring to al-Baghdadi as the "world's number one terrorist leader" and a "brutal killer", US President Donald Trump announced on Sunday morning that the 48-year-old Baghdadi had been killed during a military strike in Syria.
