The Joint Action Committee against the custodial killing of Constable Manjur Ahmad on Tuesday called for a 48-hours bandh to seek justice for the deceased. The bandh will be in effect from 6 am of 3 April to 6 am of 5 pm. This decision was taken during an emergency meeting held on Tuesday.
The Committee has demanded that the culprits be booked and the case be handed over to the CBI to no avail. Meanwhile, the JAC has decided to intensify multiple agitations.
Further, the JAC has stated that there will be relaxation for the delegates of NE Conference which is organized by MANPAC along with all emergencies and essential services as well.
