IMPHAL: Bharatiya Janata Party national president JP Nadda to visit poll-bound Manipur on October 9 and 10 in order to review the saffron party's preparation ahead of polls.
Manipur chief minister N. Biren Singh also chaired a meeting with BJP state unit president Sharda Devi along with other State office bearers of the party to discuss the preparation for Nadda’s visit to Manipur.

Nadda's visit is being cited as a crucial one as he is going to convene meetings in the run-up to the upcoming assembly election in the state early next year.
Currently, the BJP has 24 members in the 60 members Manipur Legislative Assembly.
It was emerged as the second single largest party in the state after the Congress in the last assembly election and hence this time BJP is setting eyes at 40 seats this time next year.
