Congress names O.N. Singh and K. James to contest Lok Sabha elections in Manipur

Imphal, March 24, 2019:

Late on Saturday, the Congress party released its eighth list of candidates who will fight the Lok Sabha elections on behalf of the party. The eighth list contains party candidates from the states of Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Manipur, and Maharashtra.

As per the Congress list, in Manipur, ex-state Chief Secretary O. Nabakishore Singh will contest the election from the Inner Manipur parliamentary seat while entrepreneur K. James has been named as the party candidate for the Outer Manipur seat.

It is to be mentioned that the Congress has named 218 candidates for election to the 543-member Lok Sabha thus far. The elections will be held in seven phases from April 11 to 19 May. Counting will be held on 23 May.
