Football tourney between India and Myanmar teams

Guwahati, December 14, 2018:

A football tourney is under way at Beheng in Manipur for the first time with the participation of 15 Zomi teams from India and Myanmar.

In 1996, Maj Gen NS Gill, the general officer commanding of 57 Mountain Division, had inaugurated a football ground at Beheng under the Army Development Group and dedicated it to the locals.

The Behang Youth Club, along with the Assam Rifles, improved the condition of the football ground. On the day of the tournament final on December 17, the Assam Rifles will conduct a medical camp at Beheng.
