Four militants belonging to three proscribed outfits were arrested in separate operations across Manipur’s Imphal West, Imphal East and Tengnoupal districts, police said on August 1.

Four militants belonging to three proscribed outfits were arrested in separate operations across Manipur’s Imphal West, Imphal East and Tengnoupal districts, police said on August 1.
A member of the Kangleipak Communist Party (KCP), identified as Khunthoklemba Oinam (30), was arrested in Imphal West district on Friday for his alleged involvement in a hand grenade attack on a house at Yumnam Leikai on July 28, an official said.
In another operation on the same day, security forces arrested a cadre of PREPAK (PRO), identified as Ningthoujam Nanao Meitei (41), from Imphal East district.
Meanwhile, two members of the proscribed People’s Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak (PREPAK) were apprehended near the India-Myanmar border in Tengnoupal district on Thursday, police said.
Further investigation is underway.
