Manipur: 5 Kuki National Front Insurgents Nabbed in Manipur

Imphal, July 31, 2019:

On 29 July 29, security forces arrested five active cadres of Kuki National Front (P) from different places and recovered arms and ammunition from their possession on Tuesday.

The arrested cadres were identified as Lalkhohao Khongsai alias Robin alias Lalneo, 23, of Motbung Tongneh Village, Kangpokpi district, David Neihsial alias Hendavida, 35, of Kolasin village, Mizoram at present residing at B. Venom village, Churachandpur , Nainu Kipjen, 32, of Leikot village, Motbung, Kangpokpi district, Thangminlen Haokip slias Lelen, 34, of N. Boljang, Kangpokpi district and Lamgoulin Khongsai alias Gougou Khongsai alias Hoimu, 19, of Loibul Khunou, Kangpokpi district.

They were arrested from Pather Bazar, Phayeng, Khoyathong Crossing and New Checkon.

Police recovered one A1 Rifle marked as MA-3 MK II, one HK (Heckler Koch) Rifle marked as HK 33 5.56×45, two magazines, 130 numbers of 5.56 ammunition and six mobile phones.

Thangminlen Haokip and David Neihsial were said to have involved in the killing of one self stylef PRO of KNF(P), Demkhohao Kipjen, 41, on July 22 at Kangchup Chiru Village.

A case has been registered at Lamsang Police station.
