MANIPUR: ASSAM RIFLES APPREHENDS CADRES AND VEHICLE LIFTERS

In three different operations the units of 9 Sector Assam Rifles along with Manipur Police apprehended cadres and other criminals from various parts of Imphal and Thoubal.

On specific input of Keithelmanbi  Batallion,  Bishenpur  Commandos apprehended one lady namely Athokpam Chaobi, 37 years suspected to be MNRF  cadre from General  area of  Mantripukhri.  The lady accepted her involvement in recruiting cadres for the past one year.  In another operation by Keithelmanbi Battalion along with Thoubal Police Commandos, two individuals namely Md Wajid Khan (28 years) and Md Mustakim Khan (24 years) were apprehended.  The individuals were in possession of an Alto Car bearing Regd No MN 02 B 7867 along with a 9 mm Pistol and two live rounds and they have been involved in various vehicle theft incidents in the past. The individuals along with recovery were handed over to Thoubal Police Station.

In another operation Phundrei Battalion apprehended one individual namely K Rapson Sharma, 29 years suspected to be a UNLF cadre from Khongjom Sapam. The individual was handed over to Khongjom police station.  The persistent and relentless efforts by 9 Sector Assam Rifles in synergy with Manipur Police have always ensured peace with efficient law and order in the State.
