United Committee Manipur (UCM) on Thursday threatened that if the territorial boundary of the state is affected while solving the issue of the NSCN-IM, there would be serious consequences.
The UCM categorically warned the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) regarding the territorial boundary issues.
Addressing a Public Alert Meeting on the Possible Settlement of Naga Peace Accord, General Secretary of UCM, Athouba Khuraijam mentioned that for anything that occurs out of the peace accord that changes the fate of the state, the MLAs and Ministers should be held responsible.

Khuraijam said that the Indian government imposed President’s rule in the state of Jammu and Kashmir and during that Article 370 was abrogated. Such circumstances could not be ruled out in the case of Manipur, he added.
The UCM general secretary further appealed the Government not to create more problems in solving one problem.

Various representatives of civil society organization attended in the meeting and expressed their opinion on the matter.
