MANIPUR: FISH SALE BANNED IN THE STATE

After the Nagaland government , now it’s the Manipur government who banned the sale of fish in the state after receiving an analysis report about the emergence of Formalin in the surveillance samples of Iced packed Fish coming from outside the state of Manipur. Formalin is a chemical used to preserve the dead bodies which is hazardous to health.

Further a public notice is being issued in the interest of public health that the sale of Iced packed fishes containing traces of formalin by the FBOs are not allowed in the entire state of Manipur for consu mption by public until corrective measures are taken.
