MANIPUR: GOLD BAR SEIZED IN MOREH

In a search operation the custom officer seized 13 gold bars worth approximately Rs 70 lakh in the border town of Moreh in Tengnoupal district and the other at Pallel checkpost in Chandel district.

A senior customs officer said the division’s sleuths nabbed a Muslim woman with 10 gold bars worth around Rs 51 lakh near a ground at Moreh. After the woman was interrogated, another smuggler was nabbed with three gold bars at Pallel check post. A case has been registered against both the arrestees.
