MANIPUR: MANIPUR PRADESH CONGRESS COMMITTEE SIT-IN PROTEST AGAINST NDA GOVERNMENT

Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee under the aegis of All India Congress Committee today staged a sit-in demonstration in front of the Congress Bhavan on BT Road as part of ‘viswasghat diwas’ against four-year-old BJP led NDA government which has failed in every aspect. Former Chief Minister and leader of Opposition Okram Ibobi, former deputy chief minister Gaikhangam, President of MPCC TN Haokip, MLAs and several party workers took part in the sit-in.

Addressing a press meet held at the Congress Bhavan after the sit-in, former Chief Minister Okram Ibobi said, NDA govt has not fulfilled even a single promise they had made before the general elections. People of the country are criticising the present Central and state governments. The nation-wide sit-in demonstration was organized condemning the inability of the NDA Govt to realize what has was promised to the people.

Former Deputy Chief Minister Gaikhangam said, several achievements must have been accomplished in four years rule, but NDA govt lied to the people and they have nothing to show to the people as an achievement.
