Manipur: Non-cooperation against IOCLlpg

27 July 2018:

A general body meeting of All Manipur Bulk Liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG) Transporters’ Association held on Friday resolved to launch an indefinite non-cooperation on LPG transportation operations from Saturday.

The non-cooperation was called due to failure of Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) to accommodate all tanker trucks which participated in the recently-floated tender for bulk LPG transportation to Sekmai Bottling Plant.

The secretary of the association said during the non-cooperation strike, none of the LPG tanker trucks would join either empty or loaded convoy and none of them would be loaded or unloaded.

It claimed that in spite of multiple requests from the association, Manipur, the IOCL had not taken up any positive steps to accommodate all the tankers.
