Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set to visit Manipur to celebrate two years of a BJP-lead government in the state on January 4. The Prime Minister is also going to inaugurate and lay the foundation stones of no less than ten projects.

The Prime Minister will inaugurate the integrated check-post at the Indo-Myanmar town of Moreh, the Dolaithabi barrage project at Imphal east and the FCI godown at Saombung in Imphal East. The PM will also lay the foundation stones of Centre for Infection and Disease at Jwaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences at Imphal East, a public health centre in Kangpokpi district, three women’s markets at Kongba in Imphal East, Kwakeithel in Imphal East and Wabagai in Kakching district, Langjing achouba astro turf playground in Imphal West and Akampat mini sports complex in Imphal West.

Security has been beefed up in the state in view of the Prime Minister’s visit and the government, through a general administration department order, has decreed that no government official shall be grated leave (apart from sick leave) from Monday to Friday.
